- I think it is safe to say, the last time I participated going house to house was in Jr. High school!
- After that, going trick or treating in high school didn't really exist.
- The years after high school, the thing was to dress up and go to a costume party with friends.
- When we were old enough and of age, dressing up and going downtown to bars or clubs became the "in" thing.
- Once that got old, rather, once we got old I became that person who took pictures of my nephews. And while still dressing up and being festive, I handed out candy.
- For the past two years with Camille, she was too young to understand what was going on, so dressing her up and parading her around Grandma & Grandpa's homes' were how we spent Halloween.
This year for Halloween, Camille took part and somehow ended up with 3 costumes. She is so funny!
Costume #1: Belle (Beauty and the Beast)
The L's gave this to Camille for her birthday in July and Halloween or not, it brings a smile to her face. It was useful for Halloween at Disneyland in early October and I'm glad we brought it. She got to meet a few princesses and it brought such delight to her. And yes! she was one of "those" little girls.
Costume #2: Jessie (Toy Story)
She has always been a fan of Jessie and loves saying "yoddle-le-he-who". Camille and cousin Sophie dressed up as Jessie for cousin Diego's Round Up Party last year, so she had the pants ready. And alls we needed to do was head over to the Disney store and get the t-shirt (which she can wear out all the time), the boots and the hat- equipped with the red yarn hair. Walla, here is my little Jessie, perfect costume for the Pumpkin Patch.
Costume #3: Abby Cadabby (Sesame Street)
The lucky costume that was actually worn out for trick or treating wasAbby Cadabby! But poor Abby, she's been pegged as the Sesame Street character who came in and stole the thunder away from Zoe. And for also coming in between the Zoe & Elmo's friendship. Really?
